So hard was this launch that OnStar contacted the owner to see if everything was okay. Hennessey pushes the power of the CTS-V to 700 horsepower.

Chris Rado 6.97 Second FWD Record

Chris Rado Scion tC dragster

Chris Rado has just completed a 6.97 second 1/4 mile in his Scion tC dragster. This is the first time a FWD car has ever been in the 6’s. He has been getting close with low 7’s but apparently all the conditions were perfect for this run.

Twin-Turbo Audi R8

Heffner Performance has created a twin turbo kit for the Audi R8. Running 6 psi boost and 93 octane gas the R8 dynoed at 536 RWHP. The car stock only puts down 353 horsepower.

Ferrari is Researching New Turbocharged Engines

Ferrari has turbocharged engines in the past but recently they have been keeping with the naturally aspirated kind. With the current move toward more fuel efficient engines, manufacturers are turning more to turbocharging as an effective way of reducing gas consumption while still keeping power. Ferrari said it will not release a turbocharged engine until it can remove all lag. One solution they researched was Fiat’s variable valve technology called Multiair. It produced great torque but did not work well at high rpms. So back to the drawing board Ferrari goes.

2010 Subaru Legacy GTk

Subaru has raised the boost which helps get the 2.5L engine around 300 horsepower and 350 torque. A decent increase from the normal 265 horsepower and 258 torque. It also comes with a six speed transmission and many other cool features.

Best Aftermarket Add-on

Ray Wert of Jalopnik asked the question “what is the best aftermarket add-on” for your automobile? He voiced his opinion for a roots supercharger as the best and pointed to its efficiency as a huge plus. I will go ahead and add some more fuel since this is a forced induction blog, turbocharger or supercharger?
