Hennessey has released videos of their GTR700 doing some drag and a 0-300kmh pull. The GTR700 has about 715 horsepower and 662 lb-ft torque all due to upgraded turbos and reprogrammed ECU. It can do a 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and the quarter mile in 10.87.

Porsche’s answer to growing CO2 restrictions might be supercharged four cylinder engines. Porsche’s Klaus Bening made such a statement to AutoCar that the next generation Boxster and Cayman might have such a engine in them around 2012. With Porsche’s history with turbocharging, it must be either cheaper to supercharge those engines or they expect customers to prefer the powerband of such a setup.

Denmark supercar builders Zenvo Automotive have released the first video of their ST1. The ST1 has a turbocharged 7.0L V8 producing 1104 horsepower. Zenvo says the ST1 should be able to do 0-60 in 3 seconds and a top speed of 233 mph.
