9ff GTT 900 Porsche GT

9ff the Porsche power superhouse has sprinkled some of their turbo magic on the Porsche GT. Taking the stock NA V10 motor normally producing 600 horsepower and added 300 horsepower to it through their twin turbo kit. There is no doubt 9ff knows what they are doing but it will be interesting to see how stuffing all that power and heat will do when the GT is pushed on the track. One of the great things about the Porsche GT was its raceability. You could cruise off the street onto the track and run lap after lap without the engine overheating.

Katech Supercharged LS7 Beats ZR1 LS9 Power

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Katech offers a supercharged LS7 which pushes 750 horsepower and 700lb-ft torque. This is 112 more horsepower then the ZR1 LS9. Of course the engine needs upgrades to achieve these numbers and includes a upgraded crank, steel rods, custom aluminum pistons, custom camshaft, and a Magnuson M22 twin-screw supercharger running 7-10 psi boost. Obviously Katech knows what they are doing but the LS9 has a thicker walls to compensate for the boost since the LS9 was the first in the LSx platform to get forced induction from the factory. Katech is also has in the works a twin turbo version which is supposed to offer more horsepower.
