8 turbo 1957 Chevy

How do you make your 1957 Chevy stand out in a showroom? How about having a turbo for every cylinder, in this case eight. Project Inciner8or has been around for a while but we figured there is not that many eight turbo cars out there so it should be documented here. Inciner8tor is owned by Steve Sandlin who is a member over on the forums at Lateral-G.net. Inciner8tor has a LS1 and with the help of eight turbos produces around 730 HP / 710 torque on 13.5 psi of boost. The intake / exhaust system might be the most intricate on any hotrod around. From the build sheet:

Custom built stainless 1-3/4” into 2-1/2” turbo log system exiting
thru 2” stainless “wild tube” headers into 2-1/2” duals all the way out the bumper

Quad Turbo Big Block Makes 2,105 HP

Quad Turbo Big Block

Nothing brings power better then a big block engine or boosting an engine with some turbos. By that math a big block with four turbos would equal lots of power. Running a safe 25 lbs of boost this engine platform produces 2,105 HP at 9,500 RPM. An issue was found after testing showing the exhaust side of the turbo was too big. After fixing this issue they expect to be able to get 35 pounds of boost which should produce 2,800 HP. Its rare that just looking at an engine on a stand can make your hair stand up, but this engine can do it.
